Need a picker-upper in this difficult social, political, economic time? In danger of becoming cynical? Let's share some time together and we will surely overcome.
Do you know a lot about cooperative economy and society? Please come and share! Do you know very little about it or even nothing but want to know more? Please come and learn. Be a part of the commitment to creating the consciousness and the actions that will achieve a more equitable world should we choose.
THURSDAY EVENING JULY 30 at 6:00 we will be gathering at the GRANDVIEW HEIGHTS PUBLIC LIBRARY to begin a new study group sponsored by Co-op Columbus. The idea is to read and discuss E.G. Nadeau's book THE EMERGING COOPERATIVE ECONOMY.
Nadeau has worked in, taught and written about cooperative development for a lifetime. In this book, he describes the steps necessary in the next decades and the remainder of the 21st century toward becoming a more cooperative society through the ways we conduct our social, political and economic activities. Nadeau offers clear definitions of useful concepts, current obstructions, signs of change and potential, and clear and measurable goals for improving political and economic democracy, quality of life and environmental sustainability.
Our conversation should be rich and offer a basis for continued discussion and action toward reclaiming control of our collective wellbeing.
